SEBRING, Fla. (May 16, 2023) – The governing body of lacrosse in the United States is bringing its talents to Sebring, FL this weekend for the USA Lacrosse Hall of Fame/All American Festival on May 19-20. This is a partnership built between USA Lacrosse, Airstream Ventures, and Visit Sebring.

The festival is a two-day weekend event that consists of development program tryouts on Friday afternoon, a Friday evening Hall of Fame recognition and awards dinner, followed by a boys and girls North/South All-American game on Saturday. All lacrosse games will take place at the Highlands County Sports Complex (216 Sheriff’s Tower Road, Sebring).

“We are so excited about this event – which is really three events-in-one – because it brings premier USA Lacrosse programs and opportunities to the backyard of every Florida athlete, coach and parent,” said Bill Shatz, President of the USA Lacrosse North Florida Chapter. “Quite frankly, there’s nothing else like this on offer across the U.S. and we’re proud of the effort our North and South Chapters have done to bring this to our Florida communities.”

Friday afternoon will kick the weekend off with USA Lacrosse Team USA/National Team Development Program Tryouts.  The National Team Development Program (NTDP) is a three-phased process for high school-aged boys’ and girls’ players that leads to USA Select teams.  The goal of the NTDP is to provide high-level training for the nation’s top young players that will ultimately expand the talent pool for the U.S. national teams that participate in international World Lacrosse competitions.

The dinner on Friday, May 19 will recognize inductees from both Chapters and awards to the latest (2020/2021) recipients. All-Americans will also be recognized.

This event was conceived and initiated by USA Lacrosse North Florida Chapter and delivered in

collaboration with the South Florida Chapter, Airstream Ventures and the host destination, Visit Sebring.

“We are excited to host this prestigious lacrosse weekend in Sebring and look forward to welcoming the players and their families to our wonderful sports complex,” said Casey Hartt, Visit Sebring.
