Tune in Sunday at 6:30 p.m. for a 30-minute recap showcasing Lake Verona and Avon Park
AVON PARK, FL (August 27, 2026) – The excitement of the 2026 LIQUI MOLY Pro Watercross National Tour stop at Lake Verona is headed to national television. Highlights from the Aug. 14–16 competition will air on CBS Sports Network on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 6:30 p.m. (EST). Residents, local businesses and race fans are encouraged to tune in, and watch Avon Park take center stage.
The 30-minute program will feature high-speed racing, freestyle performances and scenes from the event venue at Donaldson Park, while showcasing Lake Verona and the Sebring area to viewers across the country. Viewers should check their local CBS Sports Network listings.
This year’s event brought 55 race entries and approximately hundreds of spectators to Avon Park. Based on event participation, visitor spending and overnight stays, the race generated an estimated $100,000 in economic impact for the community.
Competitors represented 10 states plus 12 racers from Brazil, bringing racers, teams, families and fans to local accommodations, restaurants, shops and attractions during a traditionally slower summer travel period.
“Pro Watercross gives us an opportunity to generate business for our community now and extend that value through national television exposure after the final race,” said Casey Hartt, Tourism Director for the Highlands County Tourist Development Council. “We hope everyone who welcomed the racers, volunteered, attended the event or followed the competition will tune in Sunday evening and see Avon Park and Lake Verona showcased on CBS Sports Network.”
The weekend included multiple classes of closed-course racing and crowd-favorite freestyle competition, along with a racer meet-and-greet and welcome party in historic downtown Avon Park.
The event was presented through a partnership among Visit Sebring/Highlands County Tourist Development Council and the City of Avon Park. Organizers also thanked public-safety personnel, volunteers, downtown businesses, sponsors and local community partners whose support helped make the event possible.
