SEBRING, FL (May 2, 2023) – The Liquid Moly Pro Watercross National Tour is kicking off its 2023 season and returning to Sebring for the third year this weekend. Lake Jackson’s Veterans Beach will host first tour stop of the season for the leading producer of professional watercross (jet ski) racing events May 6-7.

ProWatercross has grown from being a startup to the national governing body on jet ski racing.  The two-day event features multiple divisions and categories based on the make, model, and engine size of the skis, as well as the age and skill level of the competitors. A 30-minute, post-event television show featuring the racing action will air on the CBS Sports Network.

“We are thrilled to bring jet ski racing and a nationally-television competition back to Lake Jackson this year,” said Visit Sebring’s Casey Hartt.  “Since we are a racing community and Lake Jackson is such a focal point for Sebring, hosting this event here is a natural fit and a fan favorite. Plus, the event brings in more than $120,000 in economic impact to our destination, which helps our local economy.”

The race location is Veterans Beach at 4251 Lakeview Drive in Sebring. Registration is from 2-5 pm on Friday with racing on Saturday from 11am-4pm and Sunday starting at 8:45 am. It is open to the public and free for spectators. A fan favorite is the Freestyle segment that highlights the acrobatic abilities of these highly specialized athletes and their watercraft.  Freestyle features some of the most gifted jet ski riders, performing two-minute routines in an Olympic-style format for a panel of judges.

The 2023 Pro Watercross National Tour at Lake Jackson is a product of a relationship between Visit Sebring in cooperation with Airstream Ventures, Pro Watercross, and the City of Sebring.
