Wrapping up the Caladium Festival Weekend in Lake Placid, FL, the Sugar Express is presenting a Farm-to-Table Dining Excursion Train Ride.

The Farm to Table Train will depart Lake Placid at 9:00 AM on Sunday, July 28th. Its offerings include a 4-hour roundtrip passenger excursion, photo runby at Liberty Point, a lunch of mouthwatering 16 oz. ribeye steak prepared on site by the Hendry County Cattlemen’s Association, and farm fresh sides, refreshments, and desserts served upon arrival at the John Boy Auditorium in Clewiston.

Sugar Express steam locomotive No. 148 will operate the southbound portion of the trip to Clewiston and South Central Florida Express diesel locomotives will return passengers to Lake Placid at approximately 4:30 PM.

Tickets are $198 plus tax per person or $775 plus tax for a first-class table of four guests.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to its historic nature, Sugar Express is not ADA-accessible. Cars used on excursions feature steep steps, narrow hallways, and doorways, as well as small restrooms which can present challenges for guests with limited mobility.
