The annual Patriotic Revue Scholarship Fundraiser is a whiz-bang firecracker of a show to put you in the patriotic spirit. The free 30-minute show will be performed every hour 11 am – 3 pm. The show is created new every year and features a variety of songs and performers. This year’s production includes perennial crowd-pleasers “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “God Bless the USA” and a moving choral arrangement of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” The cast includes some of the older Summer Theatre Institute participants. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be limited seating capacity, a limited menu, restricted access, and no gathering inside between shows. Food and refreshment sales, the 50/50 drawing, and donations collected throughout the day all benefit the scholarship fund. The goal this year is $7500. All donations are gratefully appreciated.
There are several scholarship opportunities for our members including degree programs, continuing education workshops, and theatre camp tuition. In the past year alone HLT has awarded over 15 scholarships to help our members grow their craft. We rely on this event to fund those awards for the upcoming year.
