Citrus Golf Trail Ramps Up Fall Tournaments

Two Minor League Golf Tour Events and the Newly-Renamed Citrus Golf Trail Ladies Invitational Are on the Calendar

 

Sebring’s Citrus Golf Trail (CGT) located just 60 miles south of Disney World, is a collection of high-quality golf courses offering incredible value, unique history, fantastic golf, and the friendliest service anywhere. The Trail, made up of seven local courses, is considered the “Value Golf Capital of America” as one of the most affordable golf destinations in the country. Even in peak season, golfers can take advantage of Stay & Play Packages without breaking the bank. To end out 2021, the CGT is hosting three golf tournaments, including two brand new events with payouts.

 

Nov. 1-3: Visit Sebring Classic $5,000 Added

The Minor League Golf Tour (MLGT) will hold its second Sebring tournament of the year at the Sun’N Lake golf course. A maximum of 60 professionals and amateur golfers with a USGA handicap of 6 or less are eligible to play.

 

Nov. 29-Dec. 2: Citrus Golf Trail Open $25,000 Added

The inaugural Citrus Golf Trail Open is another MLGT event to wrap up the 2021 schedule and prepare the players for the 2022 season. The 54-hole event will feature $25,000 in added sponsor money to the prize purse for the event as the competitors will battle for the coveted orange jacket on the Deer Run course at Sun ‘N Lakes Golf Club.

 

Dec. 28-31: Citrus Golf Trail Ladies Invitational

To close out the year, Harder Hall Ladies Invitational will have a new name and home for this 67th edition of this tournament. The event will be renamed the Citrus Golf Trail Ladies Invitational and be rotated among the golf clubs on the Citrus Golf Trail. The Invitational will continue to award World Amateur Golf Ranking points.
