THE EXPERIENCE
Enjoy a two hour passenger train ride from Sebring, Florida through the orange groves and along the shores of Lake Placid for a roundtrip to and from the sugarcane loading station site at Childs, Florida on March 10 at 2:00pm. Tickets are $48.00 plus tax. Children three and under who do not occupy a seat ride free.
These trips feature U.S. Sugar steam locomotive No. 148 operating one segment of the trip and a U.S. Sugar diesel locomotive on another. With the exception of our open-air car Miami Locks, all cars are climate-controlled and restrooms are available on board. Souvenirs will be sold on board. Parties of 15 or more are eligible for group discounts in regular coach class seating and may contact the Sugar Express office for more information.
PARKING & BOARDING
Parking and boarding for the trip will take place at Highlands County Fairgrounds at 781 Magnolia Avenue, Sebring, Florida, 33440. Parking and boarding instructions will be emailed to you with your tickets.
PLEASE NOTE
Due to its historic nature, Sugar Express is not ADA-accessible. Cars used on excursions feature steep steps, narrow hallways, and doorways, as well as small restrooms which can present challenges for guests with limited mobility.
