  • Terror Trail of Highlands County – Voted one of the Top 10 haunts in Florida, the Terror Trail is an incredibly unique thriller attraction in Sebring, Florida made up of a 1/2 mile woodland path full of unsettling creatures, spooky set pieces, and innovative scares. Join the terrifying crew for opening weekend, September 27th and 28th and every Friday and Saturday in October from 7pm – 10pm. There is no specific age restriction for this event; however, it can be quite intense, so parental discretion is advised.
  • Pumpkin Patch Street Festival & Children’s Business Pop-Up – Find your pick of the patch in the heart of Sebring! The Children’s Museum of Highlands County will be holding their 3rd annual Street Festival & Children’s Business Fair on October 20th from 12 pm – 5pm in Downtown Sebring. You’ll find family-fun games and activities, live music, some clowning around from Toby’s Junior Clown Show, free fall crafts for all ages, photos ops and pumpkins for sale, and discounted admission into the museum. And don’t miss shopping the pop-up vendor booths displaying businesses developed and run by local young minds of all ages!
  • Haunted Maze at the Historic Circle Theater – Ready to get your scare on? Join the Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce for some spine-chilling fun at their Annual Haunted Maze inside of the historic Circle Theatre! The Haunted Maze will be open October 25th from 5pm – 10pm and October 26 from 6 pm – 10pm. For those looking for a little less fright, there will be a Lights On entry on October 25th from 5pm – 6pm only.
  • Fall-O-Ween on the Circle – Spooktacular times await at the Fall-O-Ween Halloween festival in Sebring’s Historic Circle Park on October 25th from 5:30pm – 9:00pm! Get ready for trunk or treat, face painting, games galore, toe-tapping music, a monster mash, and the adorable Lil Pumpkin Princess and Pumpkin Princess pageants, and more!
  • Avon Park Harvest Festival and Children’s Costume Parade – Get ready for a fall extravaganza on Main Street in Downtown Avon Park! This year, they’re resurrecting a classic – the Avon Park Harvest Festival and Children’s Costume Parade! The parade kicks off at 3:00 PM and guess what? It’s totally free to strut your stuff! Stick around for a feast of live tunes, mouthwatering treats, lively vendor markets, and crafty creations galore!
  • Spring Lake Fall Festival – If it’s a Florida Fall you’re looking for, you’ll want to venture to the Spring Lake neighborhood for a their annual Fall Festival held on October 26 from 10AM – 4PM! Plan to Eat, Shop & Play at the event! Set to be their largest festival yet, you can expect 100+ vendors, a variety of food trucks, their popular Farmers Market, special entertainment, and several games and inflatables to keep the young (and young-at-heart) entertained!
  • 57th Annual Sebring Arts & Crafts Festival – It’s a tradition! Join the Highlands Art League for the 57th Annual Sebring Arts & Crafts Festival in the charming Historic Circle Park of Downtown Sebring on November 2 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM! Get ready for an art extravaganza with vendors galore, delicious food, and a treasure trove of kid-friendly fun! Think face painting, dazzling beading, tablecloth masterpieces, sidewalk chalk art, and so much more! Get your creative juices flowing!
  • Pilgrim Palooza – For one night only! The legendary dueling pianos from Howl at the Moon are storming the Historic Circle Theatre on November 16 from 6 PM to 11 PM. Get ready to boogie at the Turkey Tunes before and after party—it’s going to be a blast! This shindig is strictly 21+, so parents, it’s your time to kick back and unwind!

  • Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run Races – Don’t miss two opportunities to make room for Thanksgiving Day feasts with the Sun ‘N Lake 5K Turkey Trot on November 23 starting at 8AM and the 32nd Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot in Highlands Hammock State Park on November 28 starting at 8AM.
