The 9,000-acre park, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has nine walking trails, a playground, tent camping, and a three-mile bike trail. If you would like to sit back and relax, they also offer a 15-minute tram ride that takes you through the campground and provides views of gators, birds, and other local Florida wild and plant life. Perfect for nature and history buffs, make sure to check out the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Museum, which shows the many people involved in the creation and upkeep of this Park, as well as other iconic Florida state parks.
Outback RV Resort at Tanglewood
The Outback RV Resort is an RV resort and campground that offers a clubhouse, auditorium, concert stage, library, fitness area, and pool for those over the age of 40. The clubhouse hosts events such as dances, luncheons, country breakfast, potluck dinners, Monday morning coffee and group trips to attractions and shopping destinations.
