Explore how working lands support grasslands, wildlife, and sustainability.
Join Archbold staff for a guided buggy tour exploring the sustainable ranching practices at Buck Island Ranch. This program highlights how working ranches can support sustainability while conserving Florida’s grasslands and wildlife corridors. Guests will ride through one of the ranch’s marsh loops and learn about ongoing Agroecology projects, the role of cattle in the landscape, and the ways ranch operations and conservation work together. The tour includes opportunities for observation, storytelling, and open-ended discussion with Archbold scientists.
Visitors must be able to climb a short ladder with six steep steps to board the swamp buggy.
This tour is $20 to attend—please register here.
