Join the Friends of Highlands Hammock State Park for an early Earth Day celebration with nature walks, tram tours, kids’ activities, talks, and exhibitors. Explore the park and learn about nature from experts!

Event Highlights:

  • Nature Walks:
    • 10-11 a.m. – Birding Hike with Ranger Blake Lewis
    • 11-11:45 a.m. – Kids Discovery Nature Hike with Marilyn Blair
  • Talks at the CCC Museum:
    • 12-12:30 p.m. – History of Predator/Prey Research
    • 1-1:45 p.m. – Living with Florida Black Bears
    • 2-2:45 p.m. – Highlands Hammock State Park and Archbold Biological Station
  • Exhibitors: Local environmental organizations, wildlife experts, and artists
  • Tram Tours: Guided 90-minute tours at 11 a.m., Noon, 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. ($15 adults, $10 children)

Admission:

  • $6 per vehicle (up to 8 people)
  • $4 for single-occupant vehicles
  • $2 for bicyclists/pedestrians

Food: Available from the Hammock Inn Camp Store and food trucks on-site.
