Overview
“The 2026 Lakeshore Mall’s African American Month Cultural Commemoration sub-themed, ‘Sankofa,’ is a
visual and interpretative exhibit, highlighting African American Heritage and Cultural Attributes over the past
100 years. The exhibit is intentional in encouraging broad reflections and discussion about the African
American’s journey in American History, from health and education, sports and entertainment, to patriotism
and family tenor.”
The exhibit is free and open to the public!
