MORE INFO : 75th Anniversary Celebration of First Sebring Race

Overview

Sebring’s legendary motorsports story comes full circle this New Year’s Eve as the community celebrates the 75th anniversary of the first race that put this small town on the international map. On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, downtown Sebring will host a race-car-themed celebration honoring the inaugural 1950 endurance race that laid the foundation for the world-famous 12 Hours of Sebring.

Festivities begin at 1:00 PM, with official anniversary ceremonies at 3:00 PM—marking the original race start time. Centered around Circle Park, the event will feature a classic car show, historic and racing vehicles, live music, a kids’ car race, vendors, heritage displays, and a special “show and tell” zone highlighting stories and memorabilia from early racing families and organizations. The celebration concludes with a fireworks show presented by Sebring International Raceway.

Recently showcased on HGTV Hometown Makeover, downtown Sebring provides the perfect backdrop for this milestone event—celebrating the people, passion, and legacy behind one of motorsports’ most iconic destinations.
