Steam locomotive No. 148 commonly operates the southbound segment of this trip to Clewiston and a U.S. Sugar diesel locomotive operates the return leg of the journey.

ACCOMODATIONS

Due to its historic design, Sugar Express is not ADA-accessible. The excursion cars feature steep steps, narrow hallways and doorways, and small restrooms, which may pose challenges for guests with limited mobility. Passengers with limited mobility need to be aware of these limitations and should expect such situations, and should contact The Sugar Express directly for planning and accommodations.

SAFETY

Due to the unique railroad environment passengers travel in, The Sugar Express requires all guests must wear sturdy, comfortable shoes, and should not wear flip-flops, sandals, or open-toed or high-heeled shoes. Boarding and detraining sites may have uneven footing, large heavy gravel, and high steps, and walking is required at all locations.
