SEBRING, Fla. (Nov. 7, 2017) – The Highlands County Tourist Development Council (TDC) is pleased to announce that FOX 13’s Good Day Tampa Bay will be airing live from Downtown Sebring on Friday, Nov. 17.

The special show will be a part of the channel’s showcase of how local Tampa area communities, such as Highlands County, are recovering from Hurricane Irma in their series “Irma’s Lingering Impacts.”

Good Day Anchor Jennifer Epstein will be live from Circle Park, and Feature Reporter Charley Belcher will be at Dee’s Place restaurant. Several interviews with local leaders are scheduled including Highlands County Board of County Commission Chairman Don Elwell and Sebring Mayor John Shoop, as well as several others.

Highlands County residents are encouraged to attend the live broadcast and help share stories of community strength and recovery before, during and after Irma.

The mission of the TDC is to promote Highlands County as a friendly, attractive and diverse destination for tourism, thus creating a positive economic impact benefiting the entire community.
