When is the best time to visit Sebring?

Sebring is beautiful year-round, and a popular destination for visitors escaping the cold winters up North. To avoid the crowds, we certainly encourage potential visitors to consider a trip to Sebring in the summer, spring, or fall months (April – October). Many popular attractions and accommodations offer lower rates during these times.

How far in advance do I need to book a trip to Sebring?

Fifty-one weeks out of the year, you could book a trip with little or no advance notice, as many of our county’s accommodations are available year-round.
The only exception to that rule is Race Week – the third week and weekend of March, where over 50,000 visitors arrive for the annual Mobil One 12 Hours of Sebring. It’s strongly recommended that you book early for that week, as most available accommodations usually fill up months in advance!

Has it ever snowed in Sebring?

As you can see from the average temperatures, snowfall in Sebring is a very rare — and quite newsworthy — event. In 1981, however, the county’s all-time low was reached when the mercury dipped to a bone-chilling (for us, anyway) 18 degrees.

What time of year is the fishing best?

Visitors and residents all agree – fishing in Sebring is outstanding all year long!

What time of year are birding opportunities best?

Like fishing, there are great birding opportunities all year round. However, the expert birders prefer the Spring and Summer months best.

Are golf green fees expensive in Sebring?

Absolutely not! The Sebring area offers some of the best golfing values in all of Florida. As an example, one can play 18 holes of golf (including cart fee) at the peak of our winter “season” for less than $50! In the summer, rates drop even further, usually by as much as 50%!

How far of a drive is it to the ocean?

Located in the middle of Florida’s narrow peninsula, you can travel to either the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean in nearly the exact same amount of time…approximately 90 minutes.

Sebring is perfectly located. Where else in Florida could we visit for a quick day trip?

Within a 25-150-mile radius, one could visit any of the following popular Florida cities or attractions: Orlando/Walt Disney World, Tampa/Busch Gardens, Kennedy Space Center, Daytona Beach, Sarasota, Ft. Myers/Naples, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, the Florida Everglades, Bok Sanctuary, Legoland Florida, and much, much more!
